Bank of England Financial Policy Committee

The Bank of England Financial Policy Committee is a committee responsible for identifying, monitoring, and taking action to remove or reduce systemic risks that threaten the resilience of the UK's financial system. Established in 2011 as part of the new system of regulation following the 2008 global financial crisis, it leads the Bank of England's work on financial stability and has a secondary objective to support the economic policy of the Government. The committee typically meets four times a year and publishes its views on the risks to the UK's financial system in regular reports.
