Dead Lines is a science fiction novel by Greg Bear, published in 2004 and re-released as an ebook in 2017. The story follows Peter Russell, a washed-up director who becomes involved with a new technology called 'Trans', which allows for instant communication with the dead. As Peter delves deeper into the world of Trans, he begins to experience strange occurrences and realizes that the technology may have unintended consequences.
