Devdas is a 2002 Indian romantic drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie tells the story of Devdas, a young man who returns to India after studying in London and becomes embroiled in a tragic love affair with Paro, played by Aishwarya Rai. Despite his family's disapproval, Devdas is determined to be with Paro, but their love is ultimately doomed by societal pressures and personal demons. The film features Shah Rukh Khan as the titular character, alongside Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit in supporting roles.
