Didi Chuxing is a Chinese transportation company that provides a lower-cost shared ride service called Didi Hitch, which links drivers and passengers heading in the same direction. The company suspended its Hitch service in August 2018 following two separate murders of female passengers by Didi drivers. In November 2019, Didi relaunched Hitch with different curfew hours for male and female users, sparking criticism on social media.
