Dr. No is a 1962 spy film directed by Terence Young and produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. It is the first installment in the James Bond film series and is based on the 1958 novel of the same name by Ian Fleming. The film follows James Bond, played by Sean Connery, as he investigates the disappearance of a fellow agent in Jamaica and uncovers a plot by Dr. No to disrupt the US space program. The film was released in October 1962 and marked the beginning of the long-running James Bond franchise.
