Eva is a science fiction novel written by Peter Dickinson, published in 1988. The story follows a teenage girl who, after being severely injured in a car accident, is given the body of a chimpanzee to replace her human form. As she adjusts to her new physical existence, she must also confront the commercial interests seeking to exploit her unique status. Eva has received several awards and honors, including the Carnegie Medal (Highly Commended) and the Boston Globe-Horn Book Fiction Honor Book.
