The Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link is a planned immersed tunnel crossing the Fehmarn Belt strait, which separates the Danish island of Lolland from the German island of Fehmarn. The project aims to reduce travel time between Denmark and Germany by providing a fixed link for road traffic. Construction began in 2020 on the Danish side and 2021 on the German side, with funding provided through loans that will be repaid by users.
