International Criminal Court

The International Criminal Court is a permanent institution that investigates and prosecutes individuals accused of genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of aggression. It operates as a court of last resort, complementing national courts in cases where they are unable or unwilling to prosecute. The ICC is governed by the Rome Statute, an international treaty ratified by over 120 countries.
