It is one of the largest and most famous temples in South India, dedicated to the goddess Meenakshi, an incarnation of the goddess Parvati. The temple complex spans 14 acres and features intricate carvings, sculptures, and architecture, including 14 towering gopurams and a hall with 1,000 pillars that produce musical notes when tapped.
