The Nauka Module is a multi-purpose laboratory module that was launched into orbit on July 21, 2021, and docked with the International Space Station (ISS) eight days later. It provides new capabilities to the ISS and resumes the assembly of the Russian Segment after a decade-long hiatus. The module has a mass of approximately 20 tons and is equipped with solar panels, a pressurized volume, and available space for cargo storage and scientific payloads.
