The Nike Oregon Project was a training program established in 2001 by coach Alberto Salazar to develop elite long-distance athletes. It was based in the United States and was affiliated with Nike. The project had notable success, producing medal winners at several Olympic Games and IAAF World Championships. However, it was shut down in 2019 due to doping allegations against its founder.
