The Omnipressor is a dynamics effects processor that allows for variable control of dynamic modification, including compression, expansion, dynamic reversal, limiting, and gating. Introduced in the early 1970s, it was one of the first dynamics effects processors of its kind and featured a side chain, which introduced techniques such as 'look ahead' processing. The Omnipressor has been used by various musicians, including Brian May of Queen.
