The Points-Based System (UK) is a method of assessing visa applications for work in the United Kingdom, requiring applicants to earn a minimum of 70 points. It was introduced in revisions to UK immigration rules in 2008 and has undergone changes following Brexit. The system currently only applies to Skilled Worker Visa applications, where most points are earned by meeting mandatory criteria, with additional points available through tradeable characteristics.
