Shibboleth

Shibboleth is an open-source single sign-on (SSO) log-in system that allows users to authenticate with a single identity across multiple systems, primarily used in academic institutions, identity federations, and commercial organizations. It provides a standardized way of managing user identities and authorizations, enabling seamless access to various online resources. Shibboleth is widely deployed and has been at the forefront of identity management software since the early 2000s.
