The Southern Gas Corridor is a complex gas value chain that spans over 3,500 kilometres across seven countries in Europe and the Caucasus region. It involves several energy projects with a total investment of approximately US$35 billion, including the Shah Deniz 2 development and four pipelines: South Caucasus Pipeline (SCPX), Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Pipeline, South Caucasus Expansion Project, and Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). The corridor improves the security and diversity of the EU's energy supply by bringing natural gas from the Caspian Sea to Europe.
