The SPL Transient Designer is a signal processing device that allows for the independent control of transient and sustain portions of an audio signal, using a level-independent process called Differential Envelope Technology. This process splits the incoming signal into two paths for separate and constant processing by Attack and Sustain sections. The device can be used to emphasize or soften the attack portion of a signal, as well as lengthen or shorten the sustain portion.
