St. Catherine's Monastery

St. Catherine's Monastery is a Greek Orthodox monastery located at the foot of Mount Sinai in Egypt. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited Christian monasteries, with a history dating back over seventeen centuries. The monastery preserves a collection of manuscripts and early printed books, as well as icons from various periods, including pre-iconoclastic panel icons. It has been honored by rulers throughout its history, including emperors, sultans, and monarchs.
