The Obstacle is the Way

In August 2012 I was diagnosed with CRPS, otherwise known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. CRPS is a chronic neuro-inflammatory disease that affects the central and peripheral nervous systems. It had affected my right hand (my dominant hand) and made it impossible to complete simple, everyday tasks like washing my hair or getting dressed. My hand became ice-cold, and the pain was so severe that the slightest touch would send me to tears.
