The Vale of York Hoard is a collection of Viking artifacts and coins discovered in North Yorkshire, England, in January 2007. The hoard includes a rare gold arm-ring, 617 coins, and other objects from mainland Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, and the Middle East, dating back to around 927-928 AD. It was jointly purchased by the British Museum and York Museums Trust in 2009 and is currently on display at the Yorkshire Museum.
