The Yellow-Bellied Sea Snake (Hydrophis platurus) is a marine snake species that inhabits the coastal waters of Ecuador and other regions. It has a paddle-shaped tail adapted for swimming and a distinctive bicolored pattern. This species spends most of its time at sea, where it can dive to depths of up to 50 meters and survive submerged for up to 24 hours.
