Yemen, officially the Republic of Yemen, is a country at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. It is the second-largest Arab sovereign state on the peninsula, bordered by Saudi Arabia and Oman. Rich in ancient history as the home of the Queen of Sheba, Yemen has faced a devastating civil war since 2014, creating one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.
